Combining Maghrib and `Isha Salahs with one Adhan and two Iqamahs

Q 2: Some jurists say that in case of rainfall, you may perform Maghrib (Sunset) and `Isha (Night) Salahs (Prayers) combined with two Adhans (Call to Prayer). What is the ruling on this?

A: It is an act of Sunnah to combine Maghrib and `Isha Salahs with one Adhan and two Iqamahs when a legal excuse exists e.g. traveling, sickness, and rainfall. This is according to the Authentic Sunnah as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did this.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
